THIS IS NOT A GHOST STORY* by Andrea Portes | Book Review

Friday, 27 November 2020

{An ARC of this book was kindly sent to me by Harper 360*}
 [Paperback: 280 pages | Publisher: Harper Teen]
Daffodil Franklin has plans for a quiet summer before her freshman year at college, and luckily, she’s found the job that can give her just that: housesitting a mansion for a wealthy couple.

But as the summer progresses and shadows lengthen, Daffodil comes to realize the house is more than it appears. The spacious home seems to close in on her, and as she takes the long road into town, she feels eyes on her the entire way, and something tugging her back.

What Daffodil doesn’t yet realize is that her job comes with a steep price. The house has a long-ago grudge it needs to settle . . . and Daffodil is the key to settling it.

 {paperback / 432 pages | publisher: Hot Key Books}

Lemme tell you, when I got this from Net Galley, I didn't expect to also get a physical copy from the author, Holly Race. I have this stunning paperback (how gorgeous is this cover?!) at home and an eBook to take to work with me. I can't thank them both enough. Okay..onto what we are here for. Grab a cuppa and maybes your favourite online book store so you can pop this book into your baskets and ask the question, Are you safe when you are sleeping?...
