WANNA SEE MY NUDES?

Tuesday 15 March 2016

When it comes to my make up, I let my eyes do all the talking. I'm an avid fan of eyeshadows, winged eyeliner and several coats of mascara but when it comes to my lips, I like to be nude. Even though I do the talking, I've never been a fan of bright colours on my lips and I haven't found the right shade of Pink to wear yet but I think I've found my perfect nude shades.

Lately I have been obsessed with liquid velvet lipsticks or lacquers and being on a budget I usually opt for brands such as MUA and Make Up Revolution. But recently I've been reaching for MUA's Whipped Velvet Lippy and their Luxe Matte Finish lip lacquers and both are perfect nude shades for everyday wear. I usually go for something a little bit vivid when streaming or doing youtube videos though. If you see me out in public (LOL) or spamming selfies on social media, I will most likely be wearing these shades!

The whipped velvet lippy is Spry and its exactly what you would think it would feel like. Light, velvety and beautiful on the lips. It's staying power isn't good and you will be topping it up every fifteen minutes when you reach for it but the price tag of £3. I can't really complain much. If MUA remade the formula to stay alittle bit longer on the lips, I would think it's the perfect liquid lipstick in the drugstore market.

MUA's Luxe Tranquilty is a beautiful Matte finish lipstick with staying power over 1000. It glides on like a liquid and within a few seconds dries into a lovely nude. I've tried Makeup Revolutions Matte Liquids and they just dry out my lips to the point where scrubbing made my lips red raw. This liquid lipstick by MUA doesn't make my lips feel horribly dry, even if I lick my lips it doesn't leave me with that rough feeling and that's what I love about this. Some say it's a dupe for one of the Jeffree Star Liquid lipsticks  (or is it Kylie Jenner ) but I've never tried them so I can't compare. If you want a beautiful liquid lipstick that turns matte and lasts all day for just £3 then grab a few of these and pop them into your make-up bag! I will be grabbing a few more Luxe Lippys in the future as I would like to try out more shades.
